PRACTICE GROUP DESCRIPTION

The Government & Administrative Law Section represents clients before federal, state, and local governments. We regularly counsel and represent clients in connection with ongoing legislative activities, regulatory compliance, governmental enforcement actions, rule-making proceedings, and administrative actions before numerous agencies. The Government & Administrative Law Section attorneys have written articles and lectured on governmental and administrative agency issues to the Utah State Bar, governmental seminars, and various business entities. Our experience in this area readily assists clients in protecting their interests before the government.

ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCIES

The Government & Administrative Law Section has extensive experience handling matters for clients before various governmental agencies. Many of our lawyers have had previous experience serving in various capacities in federal and state government including: the Utah Attorney General’s Office; the United States Department of Justice; the United States Department of the Interior and the Public Service Commission of Utah. Our lawyers’ backgrounds and experiences have provided us with a unique opportunity to assist clients in disputes they have before government agencies. We regularly appear before various agencies including: the Public Service Commission of Utah; the Department of Environmental Quality; the Department of Natural Resources; the Department of the Interior; the Utah State Tax Commission; the Utah Division of Occupation and Professional Licensing; and numerous other agencies. Our unique experience allows us to provide our clients with efficient and cost-effective legal services to assist them with their needs.
