Cass C. Butler

Shareholder

Mr. Butler is a shareholder who practices in the Litigation Section with a focus on construction and Employment law. Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Butler was a partner with Ballard Sphar Andrews & Ingersol and previously a partner with Watkiss & Saperstein. Mr. Butler also worked as Associate Solicitor for the Department of Interior from 1984-1986, and clerked from 1983 to 1984 for the Honorable Moody R. Tidwell, III, in the United States Federal Court of Claims. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Butler is a member of the Federal Bar Association and was President of the Utah Chapter for 2005-2006. He is also a member of the Salt Lake County Bar Association, Litigation and Employment Sections; Utah State Bar, Subcommittee, Model Utah Jury Instructions; Utah State Bar, Law & Technology Committee and Model Utah Jury Instruction Subcommittee; and the Federal Court Technology Committee. Mr. Butler has also been a member of the American Bar Association, Commercial Litigation and Tort & Insurance Sections; Association of Trail Lawyers of America; Utah Trial Lawyers Association; and the Defense Research Institute.
