
David J. Langeland
Associate
David Langeland advises clients on various aspects of Internet, corporate, and technology law, including doing business online, Internet traps to avoid, privacy and data security, and the benefits and risks of social networking. He also provides counsel and strategy regarding the branding efforts of a business, and assists clients in protecting their trademark rights through federal, state, and international trademark registration. He also assists clients in realizing the economic benefit from trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property rights and the protection of such rights through appropriate licensing and product distribution agreements.
Additionally, Dave advises clients on corporate transactions and business formation. He has drafted and negotiated numerous business contracts and prepared organizational documents to meet the needs of his clients.
Dave also represents financial institutions, and he has assisted clients on large commercial loan transactions, loan restructuring and loan modifications.
Dave is a past Chair of the Cyberlaw Section of the Utah State Bar.
